Danny has been using the Internet since 1989. He has always been concerned about civil liberties issues, but finally joined EFA early in 1996, when Australian moves towards Net censorship reached critical point.

Danny was appointed to the position of Vice-Chair of EFA in December 2006. He also held the position of Vice-Chair from December 2002 to December 2003.

Danny also writes book reviews, plays gamelan, and bushwalks. Financial wherewithal comes from part-time work as a network administrator at the University of Sydney.
